  • 680 g 680 Chickens Thighs

  • 75 g 75 Green Peas

  • 75 g 75 Carrots

  • 340 g 340 Mirepoix

  • 2 cups 2 Chicken Broth

  • 1 large 1 Onion

  • 10 g 10 Thyme

  • 1 cup 1 Mushroom

  • 20 g 20 Garlic

  • 1.5 cup 1.5 All Purpose Flour

  • 12 spoons 12 Sour Cream

  • 1 table spoon 1 Baking Powder

  • 2 spoons 2 Butter

  • 1 spoon 1 Sugar

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Oil

HelloFresh Chicken Pot pie Preparation Steps

  • In a medium bowl, add 1 cup of flour, baking powder, 2 tablespoons of water,1 tablespoon sugar and 1/2 tablespoon of salt and whisk it together. Set 1/4 cup of flour aside. Now sprinkle the remaining flour onto the table counter and start kneading the dough into small balls.
  • Divide the dough into two portions and press it into a 1/2-inch thick round disc. Wrap the discs with plastic and place them in freezer to chill. After that wash and dry ingredients and strip thyme leaves from stems. mince the garlic and cut the chicken 1/2-inch cubes.
  • Heat a medium-sized oven proof pan. Add oil to the pan and cook the chicken till golden brown. for 6-8 minutes. Season the chicken with Salt and Pepper. Transfer the chicken to cool.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of butter to the pan and put in the mirepoix, garlic and thyme. Cook until the mirepoix softens for about 3-4 minutes
  • Add chicken and juices to the pan. Add the reserved cup of flour the the chicken and pour in the broth concentrates,2 cups water and peas . Cook until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Season with salt and pepper. Remove pan from heat. Remove the dough from freezer and cut each disc into quarters. Top the chicken mixture with the dough.
  • Preheat the oven to 450°F and bake the pie until the biscuits turn golden brown for 10-12 minutes.
